National identity and ethnic group identity have become important issues in the multinational countries. National unity is the prerequisite and guarantee of national harmony and unification, and it also provides a secure and broad living space for the diverse development of national culture as well as the friendly exchanges among different nationalities. The developing model which is running paralleled between national identity and ethnic identity has an important practical significance and theoretical significance in dealing with ethnic problems in multinational countries.
