摘要
提出一种新型的分叉结构模块化多电平变换器(bifurcate modular multilevel converter,BMMC),BMMC将常规模块化多电平变换器(modular multilevel converter,MMC)的串联结构桥臂替换为分叉结构桥臂,其拓扑可以从单一分叉结构扩展为多重分叉结构,具有多个交流端口,端口之间为错相连接。BMMC是一种无需变压器的高变压比AC/DC变换器,能够将电压等级较低的交流系统连接至电压等级较高的直流系统,并具有较低的损耗与较小的电容使用量,在交直流混合电网中具有广阔的应用前景。对BMMC的工作原理进行了分析,提出了相应的控制方法,对其性能特点进行了分析与总结,并在RT-Lab仿真平台上对理论分析和控制方法进行了验证。
A new bifurcate modular multilevel converter(BMMC) was proposed. BMMCs replace the series-connected arms of conventional modular multilevel converter(MMC) as bifurcate arms, and can be extended to a multi-bifurcate structure. BMMCs are high-voltage-conversion-ratio AC/DC converters with multiple AC ports, and can be used to connect low voltage AC sources to high voltage DC sources without transformers, which makes them useful in AC-DC hybrid systems. The operating mechanism of BMMCs was analyzed in this paper, and a control scheme for BMMCs was proposed. The characteristics of BMMCs were summarized and compared. Detailed simulation models were built based on RT-Lab platform, and the simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis and control scheme.
