In the background of serious overcapacity in the coking industry and intense competition among enterprises,the significance of combining coking with gasification was analyzed. Through the adjustment of product structure of coke, the production of certain proportion chemical coke, partial or complete replacement of return coke oven gas, coke oven gas and gasification syngas coupling to develop modern coal chemical industry, it could not only solve the environmental problems of the coking enterprises which urgently needed to be solved, but also help the coking enterprises survive. In addition, the replacement scheme of coke oven gas and the suitable gasification type and characteristics of gasification for coking enterprises were elaborated, providing references for the adjustment of product structure of the coking enterprises.
