The specific features of ESP teaching in goals and focuses require us to adopt suitable ESP teaching methods for satisfying the students^ needs. Embodied Cognitive Teaching Model emphasizes the cognitive subject role played by human beings during language usage. It provides solid theorethighlighting and exerting learners, subjective initiation, improving foreign language teaching method and promoting its teaching effect. It is hoped that the construction and application of this new mode can furtherpromote the increasing integration of cognitive linguistic theories, contemporary information technology, and ESP teaching practice, and moreove,can throw some new light upon the innovation of English lan-guage teaching in the process of deepening the reform of ESP teaching.
