摘要
莎剧《辛白林》中,"光"的意象数量众多,其中部分意象更是在文本中反复出现。这些意象,在人物塑造、情节编排、舞台效果等戏剧创作层面,起到辅助作用。同时,莎士比亚通过这些意象的营造,对女性、王权、宗教、国家主义等重要议题进行了探讨。文章力图以分析《辛白林》中光的意象为切入点,呈现该剧背后性、王权、宗教交织成的复杂社会历史图景。
Shakespeare＇s Play Cymbeline features many images of light,some of which make repeated appearances throughout the play. These images participate in multi-levels of dramatic creation,such as the characterization,the plot construction and the stage effects. Meanwhile,with the creation of these images,Shakespeare explores important topics ranging from the religion,the nationalism to the female monarchy. Through analyzing the images of light,the essay attempts to present the play＇s social-historical context woven by the royal power,the sexuality,and the religion.
