摘要
马越彻教授是当代日本著名的比较教育学家,他建立了一个有自己特色的比较教育学理论体系,区域教育研究思想是其中的一个有机组成部分。马越教授从20世纪90年代日本比较教育研究的现状出发,批判日本传统的"外国教育研究"范式,指摘日本的亚洲教育研究在方法论上存在的问题,运用"区域研究"理论及人类学相关理论,提倡充实和强化"教育的区域研究",主张将"区域研究"的方法论引入比较教育研究之中,论述了如何开展"教育的‘区域研究’"和"‘区域研究’与比较教育学的关系"等重大问题,从而提出了关于区域教育研究的一系列理论观点,建构了有自己特色的比较教育学方法论——"三阶段、五步骤"理论。马越教授倡导区域教育研究思想,特别是建构比较教育学方法论,对于日本的比较教育学理论建设做出了突出的贡献。
Professor Toru Umakoshi is a well-known comparative educationalist in Japan. He has established a theoretical system of comparative education with his own characteristics. The idea of area education studies is an integral part of it. Professor Toru Umakoshi, starting from the present situation of Japan's comparative education in the 1990s, criticized the traditional "foreign education studies" paradigm and the problems in the methodology of Asian educational studies in Japan. By using the theory of "area studies" and anthropology, he advocated to enrich and strengthen the "area studies of education" and introduced the methodology of "area studies" into comparative education; He also discussed how to carry out "area studies" of education; the relationship between "area studies" and "comparative education studies" and other major issues, thereby put forward a series of theoreti- cal viewpoints on area educational studies, and constructed the methodology of comparative education with his own characteristics-the theory of "three stages and five steps". Professor Toru Umakoshi advocated the idea of area educational studies, especially the construction of comparative education methodology. He had made prominent contribution for comparative education theories in Japan.
