现代生命科学导论课程教学内容和方法的改革

Reform of Content and Method for “Introduction to Modern Life Science” Curriculum

现代生命科学导论作为一门通识课,是素质教育中最重要的内容之一。它主要引导学生了解人类自身,理解人类与整个生物界乃至自然界的关系。然而现阶段该课程存在内容多、课时少、教材更新滞后等问题。为解决这些问题,文章试着从教学内容和教学方法这两方面阐述《现代生命科学导论》课的实践和改革措施,并对改革作了展望。在教学内容上采取删除部分与中学生物重复的知识、增添与社会发展密切相关的时尚新内容以及将教学内容与学科专业相结合等改革措施;教学方法上采用专题式授课模式、热点新闻导课、探究式教学、辩论式教学、演讲、实验、多媒体教学和MOOC翻转课堂教学等多种授课模式。经过几个学年的实行,得到学生一致的好评。

Introduction to Modern Life Science, as a general education subject, is one of the most important subjects of quality education, which mainly guides the students to know human beings better and the relation- ship between human beings and the whole world. However, there exist some problems in how to handle the course, such as too much materials and information which should be included in it, the limited teaching time, and the textbook-updated lagged, etc. To solve this problem, the teaching content and teaching methods are the two aspects to be reformed, for example, trying to delete some old knowledge taught in their senior high school, adding some updated knowledge related with the development of society, and combining the teaching content with their discipline, etc. As for the reform of the teaching methods, the topic-oriented model, the in- troduction to the hot news, the research style, the debate class, making a speech, doing experiments, the multi-media class, the MOCK and the flipped class have all been adopted. After having practicing it for sever- al semesters, a high praise from the students has been achieved.
