Professor Zhang Yi - bing constructed the image of Lenin through The Correspon- dence between Marx and Engels, which is simple and practicable. Zhang Yi -bing found the logic ap- proach that Lenin went towards Hegel, which, I think, is the origin of Zhang Yi - bing＇s book. This book answers the questions why Marx and Lenin thought highly of Hegel as well as what the profound meaning of dialectics is. Lenin did not give up materialism and he rejected the idea of God, from which he mastered the key of dialectics. Zhang Yi - bing is popular among students because he knows very well modern thoughts. I hope we take advantage of this book＇ s publication to launch a great controversy about Lenin, Marx and Hegel. The politics and culture in East Asia are in essence identical. It is better that we invite experts on Lenin in the world to hold an international conference.
