摘要
詹姆士一世至詹姆士五世执政时期,斯图亚特王朝进行了重要的司法改革。斯图亚特王朝创设新法庭将中央司法权逐渐从议会手中分割出来;在地方上,再度恢复传统的巡回法庭,监督地方司法,着力整饬并加强管控各郡法庭。改革持续了106年,加强了苏格兰国王的权力。
From James I to James V. Stuart Kings split the central juridical power from the parliament by creating a series of new ＂sessions＂ （courts）. They restored in regional areas the system of ＂Justice Ayre＂ to supervise regional juridical affairs, strengthening and reorganizing local sessions. This reform went on for 106 years and consolidated the kingship of Scottish kings.
