Jimsar Sag is located in the southwest section of the eastern part of the Junggar Basin. It is a typical self- generation and self-storage type tight oil reservoir in the deposition period of Permian Lucaogou Formation. The tight oil reservoir rocks have complex mineral compositions and multiple components, which represent a kind of transitional mixed sedimentary rock.
