摘要 Mineral surface is the principal place for organic- inorganic interaction in natural environment (Mayer, 1994; Schmidt et al., 2011), which is generally measured as specific surface area (SSA). As organic matter (OM) is the source of hydrocarbon generation in shales, it is of great significance to pay attention to the role of mineral surface for OM occurrence. According to mineral attributes, mineral surface can be categorized into external surface and internal surface.
