系统功能语法视角下《芭巴拉少校》中的人际意义试证

摘要 韩礼德认为,所有语言都具有三大元功能:概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能。人际功能用来在对话中建立和维护人际关系,表达各种态度或评价,确立交流中扮演的角色。运用韩礼德的系统功能语法,从人际意义的角度结合语域理论中的话语基调(tenor)对著名戏剧家萧伯纳的《芭巴拉少校》进行分析,有助于揭示人物间如何通过选择不同的语气、情态以及呼语来体现不同的态度、地位及人际关系。 According to Halliday,all languages can be classified into three metafunctions: ideational,interpersonal and textual function. The Interpersonal function allows interlocutors to establish and maintain relationships with each other,to express their attitudes and evaluations,which thus identifies their reciprocal speech roles in the communication. The paper attempts to analyze the interpersonal meaning in George Bernard Shaw's play Major Barbara from the perspective of Systemic Functional Grammar,in an effort to identify how the characters have their different attitudes,power and affective involvement displayed through discriminative choices of the Mood and Modality systems and Vocative.
