The application of the difference principle is an important methodology of the postmodern theory of library science research. The paper explains the differences in the plilosophy principle,the relationship between the difference principle and the innovation development of theory of postmodern library science,and how to treat the difference and the application of difference principle during the theory development of postmodern ibrary science. The difference should be understood in the innovative development of postmodern library science,and it should be also admired. Meanwhile,the negativity of the difference should be got over effectively.
