Practice and Thought on Chemistry and Health as A Public Optional Course in University of Transportation

为引导非化学专业的大学生关注生活和社会中的化学问题,提高基本的科学素养,探讨了在交通类高校开设化学与健康公共选修课的必要性。紧紧围绕化学和健康两大主题,选取和大学生日常生活息息相关的案例,采用翻转教学方法,通过多方位、相对灵活的考核方式,有效的提高了选课的学生分析和解决生活中的化学问题的能力。实践证明:本课程的选课率高、学生对化学与健康的关系有了更深的认识、课程受到学生的广泛好评。

In order to lead the students of non- chemistry majors to pay attention to the chemical problems in daily life and society and improve the basic scientific quality,the necessity of the public selective course of chemistry and health in jiaotong universities was discussed. All the teaching of the course grips the two topics of chemistry and health was closed related with college students＇ daily lives. It tried the new teaching method of flipped classroom and adopted flexible multi- aspect evaluation mode to effectively improve the students＇ ability in analyzing and solving chemistry problems in daily life. The practice proved that students had gained deeper understanding of the relation between chemistry and health with high selecting rate prevailing good reputation among students.
