摘要
作为i School创始学校之一,德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校信息学院的教研体系世界领先,值得探索研究。文章对德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校信息学院的教研体系组成进行了专项调查研究,从培养体系和科研体系两方面进行系统的分析。培养体系方面梳理了博士生、硕士生、特色定制课程、双学位和辅修的计划内容,并指出毕业生的专业前景。科研体系方面,介绍了该校教研人员的构成、实验室和设备,并列举了该校研究团队的研究方向和10万美金以上项目。结果表明,该校培养体系具有非常高的灵活性,学生有多种渠道根据自己的研究兴趣学习拓展课程;该校提供了多学科交叉的教师团队和对学生全权开放的实验室设备,为教研提供了良好的条件。最后对研究项目的列举和分析能帮助国内研究者了解该校研究项目的主要资金来源、课题,为国内学科构建和学校教研体系制度改善起到一定的借鉴和启示作用。
As one of the founding schools of iSchool, the teaching and researching structure of the University of Texas at Austin School of Information is world-leading and worth exploring. This paper conducts a special investigation and study on the composition of the teaching and research system of the School of Information, University of Texas at Austin, and makes a systematic analysis to the aspects of teaching system and research system. For teaching system, it summarizes the doctoral, master, tailored courses, dual degree and Minor programs, and explains the professional prospects of the graduates. For research system, it introduces the laboratory and equipment for teaching and research staff of the University. The research direction and teams in charge and the project of more than 100,000 US dollars are listed. The results show that the teaching system has a very high flexibility, the students have a variety of channels to learn the expanding courses according to their own interests; the School provides the multi-disciplinary teachers and fully-opened laboratory equipment for teaching and research. Finally, the enumeration and analysis of the research project can help the domestic researchers understand the main funding sources and issues of the research project of the university, which can serve as reference and inspiration for the domestic discipline construction and the improvement of the school teaching and research system.
