摘要
中美之间在民族多元文化教育政策的社会背景包括时空背景、地理、经济、民族结构、政治法律制度和社会文化等方面都存在很大差异。其中一些差异深植于两个国家和民族的历史传统和文化性格之中,深植于现实的政治和教育实践之中。简单的优劣之辨是肤浅的,只有适应本国历史和现实国情,努力发挥传统和现实的政治、文化机制之长,才是明智的态度和方法。对美国民族多元文化教育政策固然需要研究和借鉴,但一定要立足中国的历史和现实国情,才能走出有中国特色的民族多元文化教育发展之路。
There are many differences between China and the United States in social background of ethnic muhicuhural education policy including time-space background, geography, economy, ethnic structure, political and legal system and social culture. Some of them may be convergent, while others are deeply rooted in historical tradition, cultural characters, and current political and educational practices of the two countries and the two nations. Making a simple distinction between good and bad is too superficial, and a sensible and wise way is to give a full play to their own traditional and current strong points of political and cultural mechanism to make up for the weak points according to their own history and current situation. It is very important to study and use for reference of the policy of the United States based on China' s historical and realistic national conditions, and only by doing so, can the ethnic muhicultural education policy be developed with Chinese characteristics.
