郭笃士是粤东著名诗人,同时又是岭东画派的著名画家,他的题画诗结合了诗人的情怀与画家的审美而独具一格。郭笃士的题画诗在创作上既不脱离画境,又结合诗人主观的人生经历和感悟,借题发挥,既有诗境又有画境,极大扩展了画作的意境和内涵,具有很高的艺术造诣,是诗与画相得益彰的典范。

Guo Dushi was a famous poet of east Guangdong and also a renowned artist. His poems inscribed on his paintings expressed his sentiments and his aesthetic views and were unique. His poems were closely related to the paintings and in the meantime expressed his subjective life experiences and insights,integrating poetic and artistic realms and greatly expanding the paintings' artistic conception and connotation. His works are of high artistic attainment and are examples of poetry and painting reinforcing each other.
