Photographers often come into contact with the hyperfocal distance concept, but its meaning and value are not accurate. Based on the analysis of its meaning and the affecting factors, and main characteristics, this paper proposes the approximation of hyperfocal distance and discusses its practical value. In the filming process, according to the actual situation, it can be flexibly used so as to serve the practice of photography truly.
