王易是傅抱石的国文老师,也是他的篆刻老师。在王易的引导和帮助下,傅抱石篆刻由师法赵之谦转向主攻黄牧甫,并在黄牧甫印风中寻觅到了自己篆刻发展的方向。王易渊博的国学知识和扎实的学术功底对傅抱石产生了一定影响,并为傅抱石从事印学研究打下了良好根基。他多次为傅抱石著作撰序跋、订润值,奖掖提携。

Wang Yi was Fu Baoshi＇s Chinese teacher, and he also taught him seal carving. With Wang Yi＇s guide and help, Fu Baoshi turned his seal carving style from Zhao Zhijian＇s to Huang Mufu＇s and he succeeded in finding his development direction from Huang＇s style. Wang Yi＇s profound knowledge of Chinese culture and solid academic foundation influenced Fu Baoshi at a certain degree, who helped Fu Baoshi set a good foundation in the study of seal carving. In addition, for many times, Wang Yi composed prefaces or postcripts for Fu Baoshu＇s works, encouraged and supported him by promoting and rewarding, helped him set the remuneration and get through life difficulties.
