英语中汉语借词的研究

伴随着全球化的浪潮,中西方各层次交流日益密切,英语中也出现了越来越多的汉语词汇。这些借词作为一个个文化符号,承载着中华民族悠久而广博的文化,较好地向世界展示了中国的文化软实力。探讨英语中的汉语借词,可以帮助我们更好地了解英汉两种语言的演化和发展,在一定程度上也有助于增进中西方文化交流、提升中国文化软实力。在此次的尝试性研究中,作者首先讨论了借词的界定。其次,介绍了英语中汉语借词的概况,内容涉及汉语借词的种类、特点、借入方式以及汉语词语的"英化"过程。接下来,作者举例介绍了"Guanxi""Hongbao"等有趣的汉语借词。最后,作者总结了英语中汉语借词的发展趋势并浅析了汉语借词这种语言现象背后的意识形态问题,指出西方媒体的受众在获取英语新闻的时候应该增强自身的"语言意识",关注汉语借词的潜在意义,学会展开批判性语篇分析。

With the trend of globalization, the East and West have increasingly made close exchanges. As a re- suit, there are more and more Chinese words appearing in English. As a symbol of culture, these words help to show the world the Chinese soft power in aspect of culture. Through the analysis of Chinese Loanwords in English, we can have a better understanding of the evolution and development of this two languages. To a certain extent, it also helps to enhance the communication between Chinese and its Western counterparts. In this tentative study, the definition of loanwords is firstly discussed. Secondly, the author introduces the general situation, relating to the content and process of Chinese loanwords being borrowed into English. Next, the author introduces some interesting Chinese loanwords such as ＂Guanxi Hongbao＂ and so on. Finally, The author summarizes the trend of development of the Chinese Loanwords in English. More importantly, the author discloses the ideology behind this language phenomenon, pointing out that the readers should enhance their awareness of critical discourse analysis, especially towards the loan words borrowed from Chinese.
