MEG is the abbreviated term of lean glycol,which is widely used as an oil/gas dehydrating agent in offshore oil and gas production.In the practical application of the industry,MEG is easy to absorb water to form a mixed solution of water and ethylene glycol,which can easily lead to the leakage of the poor ethylene glycol tank.Thermal sprayed aluminum coating has better physical coverage,the steel matrix with water,air and other media are separated,and thermal spraying aluminum layer is not dissolved in ethylene glycol and water is poor,so thermal spray aluminum is the first way to protect corrosion of MEG tank.The MEG storage tank is composed of a tank body,an internal process pipeline and a thermal spraying aluminum coating.This paper discusses in detail the construction of MEG storage tank,pipeline installation,weld tightness test,pressure test,thermal aluminum spraying process and concerns.
