Dielectric properties of 40 percent QR toughening-agent toughened anhydride-curd epoxy resins (EP) and pure anhydride-cured EP were measured. The relationships between the relative permittivity and the dielectric loss of cured EP with temperature and frequency were also studied and also compared with those of 40 percent QR toughening-agent toughened anhydride-curd epoxy resins. The interfacial polarization process could be described by the MWS model. It is found that the change of dielectric properties of rubber-toughened epoxy resins is owing to the phase separation process taking place during the cure process.
