Known as the ＂Silicon Valley of Europe＂, Ireland has an outstanding performance in innovation which benefits from the technology transfer of universities. University plays a dominant role in Irish technology transfer system and this forms an effective opera- tion mechanism. Ireland establishes the national central technology transfer office, promulgates national intellectual property protocol and implements financial support covering the whole process of technology transfer. These measures ensure and promote the development of university technology transfer system, which provide valuable experience for improving the university technology transfer and innova- tion strategies in China.
