组织惰性生成研究--环境选择、路径依赖和资源基础观的整合 被引量:19

摘要 非连续变化环境下组织惰性日益成为影响企业持续成长的重要因素,但学界对组织惰性生成研究始终存在争议。立足于企业层面,通过对组织生态学、新制度组织理论、路径依赖理论和资源基础观等不同学科视角的相关研究进行梳理与整合,本文构建了组织惰性生成的分析框架。该框架指出组织惰性既是企业所处环境选择的产物,也是企业在适应环境的过程中路径依赖的结果,也即环境和路径的"双重锁定"最终导致组织惰性的生成;组织惰性最终表现为资源惰性和惯例惰性,其中资源惰性更多与环境压力相关,惯例惰性则与路径依赖密不可分;连续变化环境下组织惰性是组织效率的来源,但在非连续变化环境下往往成为组织衰败的根源。 in the non-successively changing environment, organizational inertia has been the major factor that influences the sustainable growth of enterprises, however, scholars have expressed different opinions on the generation of the organization inertia. In this paper, based on the enterprise level, we put forward the analysis framework on the generation of organizational inertia through analyzing and integrating related research at different disciplinary perspectives, such as organizational ecology, the new institutionalism theory, path dependence and resource-based view. The framework shows that the organization inertia is not only the product of the environmental choice of the enterprise, but also the re- sult of the path dependence of the enterprise in the process of adapting to the environment, or, the "dou- ble lock" of the environment and the path eventually leads to the generation of the organization inertia. Resource inertia and routine rigidity are the final manifestation of organizational inertia. The resource inertia is more related to the environmental pressure, and the routine rigidity is closely related to the path dependence. While organizational inertia is the source of organizational efficiency in the succes- sively changing environment, the root of organizational decline in the non-successively changing envi- ronment.
