汕头市近代城区的历史演变回顾与保护体系的建立

Review on the Historical Evolution and Conservation of the Old Town of Shantou in Modern Times

汕头旧城是近代中国城市史中具有代表性的中西兼备、规模适中、功能齐全、建筑风格鲜明的街区之一。通过分析汕头旧城的建设历程、港口发展、城区规划与特点,提出从区域整体发展角度建立整体的汕头旧城区域保护体系。

The old town of Shantou is one of the typical neighborhoods which are a combi- nation of east and west, moderate in size, multifunctional and stylish in modem time＇s Chinese history. The author analyzes the construction process of the old town of Shantou as well as its port development and features of urban planning. It is suggested that the old town of Shantou should receive integral conservation from the perspective of an overall regional development.
