朱栋霖主编的高教社出版的《中国现代文学史(1917-2013)》第三版上册修订本,在文学思潮和文学运动方面,作家生平和思想方面,文体、流派和作品方面,章节设置和文字表述方面,都有值得肯定的提升,但仍有需要改进的地方。比如加强"研习导引"的学术前沿性;在已有共识的一些重大历史问题上,应该与时俱进;不宜滥用"封建"一词;把施蛰存视为新感觉派应再加斟酌;在使用史料方面要注意核查原始资料,切忌粗枝大叶。

The Modern Chinese Literature history（ 1917-2013 ）edited by Zhu Donglin and published by China Higher Education Press （Third edition, first volume） marks a great improvement in the work of the lit-rary history rewriting and the new textbook compiling. This edition has greatly improved in aspects concerning the literary trends and movements, the life and thought of the writer; the style, school and works ; the setting of chapters and the expression of language, etc.. At the same time, it also has some aspects need to be further improved, such as ： the introduction of academic frontier development need to be enhanced ; the editors should follow the new development, especially on some major historical issues on which a consensus has already reached; the term of ＂feudal＂ should not be misused anymore; labelling Shi Zhecun as the New Sensation School need to be reconsidered; original historical materials should be taken more seriously and rigorously.
