An Analysis of the Xinyi-perceptions in Wuju Traditional Opera

"信义"即人与人交往中的信用和道义。婺剧中蕴含着丰富的信义思想,具体表现为舍生取义、诚信正直、知恩图报、重义轻利、忠贞尽责等,合理评鉴婺剧中的信义思想,并运用婺剧传扬信义之美,对于建设信义社会,进一步发扬中华传统美德必将发挥独特作用。

The perceptions of Xinyi constitute the principles of trustworthiness, morality and justice that people shall observe in their social contacts. There are abundant Xinyi notions in Wuju Opera, such as credibility, integrity, loyalty, and behaviors of willingness to abandon one＇ s life for morality, longing for repaying someone for his kindness, taking morality as the top priority rather than benefits, shouldering responsibilities, etc. It will be of unique significance for constructing a Xinyi-soeiety and spread some Chinese traditional virtues further to assess and appreciate the perceptions of trustworthiness, morality and justice by Wuju Opera.
