The Research of Textile Workers of Shanghai in the Early 1930s

上海是中国近代最早开辟为通商口岸的城市,传统手工纺织业在资本主义入侵的情况下逐渐被机器生产所替代。作为近代最发达的纺织业中心,上海纺织工人的数量数全国之最。虽然工人对上海纺织业做出了巨大贡献,但是他们却饱受剥削压迫,劳动时间长、强度大,工资低廉,居住条件差,他们所获得的回报与其付出极不相符,因此,在这个时期内,上海的纺织工人经常为争取自己的合法权益而进行抗争。

Shanghai is the earliest treaty port city in modern China, traditional manual textile industry under the condition of the invasion of capitalism gradually replaced by machine production. As the most advanced textile industry center in modern China, the number of Shanghai textile workers was maximum in the country. Although workers of Shanghai textile industry has made a great contribution, but they were far from ideal production and living conditions, work time was long, working strength was big, wages were low, living conditions was poor, and their returns was not consistent with their pay extremely. Therefore, in this period, Shanghai textile workers often fight in order to fight for their own legitimate rights.
