摘要
叶维廉的《中国现代小说的风貌》一书于1969年即已问世,台湾学界一直以来都给予了极高的评价,认为它是研究台湾"现代小说"的经典。而大陆的叶维廉研究虽已历经34年,但整个学界却对该书从未置一词,这使得叶维廉本人都对大陆这种冷淡的学术反应感到不可思议。本文正是对此种学术现象的首次回应,在台湾学界对该书的定位之后另有解读,认为:叶氏在文艺评论领域的重要转向——从借镜西学到溯源道家,以及他于1971年提出的"纯粹经验美学"和1974年提出的"模子寻根说"这些重要学术观点,溯其原初生长形态,根在此书。
Ye Weilian's book—The Styles of Chinese Modern Novel was published in 1969.Taiwan academic circle has given the book very high academic evaluation,considering it as a classic work of research on'modern novels of Taiwan'.Although Ye Weilian's research in Mainland has been through 33 years,Mainland academic circle has never set a word to this book.In fact,Even Ye Weilian himself felt very strange about this sort of academic reaction in Mainland.This paper is the first response to the academic phenomenon.It argues that the evident variation in literary criticism made by Ye Weilian—learning from western aesthetics to the origin of Taoism,'pure experience aesthetics'he proposed in 1971 and'the roots of mold'he proposed in 1974,all these original morphologies of important academic opinions are in this book.
