外国文学研究的浅俗化弊病与“译文学”的介入

The Malady of Vulgarization in Foreign Literature Study and the Introduction of “Translation Literature”

我国的外国文学研究的许多成果,所依据的常常不是外文原作而是译文,没有意识到只有对外文原作所进行的研究才是真正的"外国文学"研究。由于既脱离了原文,又没有原文与译文转换的"译文学"意识,只能采取"作家作品论"的模式,习惯于在主题、题材、人物、叙事情节等层面上展开作品评论与作品分析,以主观性、鉴赏性的"评论",混同、取代、掩蔽了严格意义上的文学研究,导致了外国文学作家作品论的模式化、浅俗化弊病。在这种情况下,"译文学"的介入有助于对这种倾向加以遏制与矫正。只有具备"译文"的概念,才能具备"原文"的意识,而只有面对原文,才能使外国文学研究成为真正的"外国文学"的研究。

The achievements of Chinese studies of foreign literature are not always based upon original texts but translated ones. It is not realized that the real studies of foreign literature are none but researches on the original one. Isolated from the sourced texts as well as unaware of ＂translatology＂ between the source texts and the target ones, researchers have to apply the mode of ＂criticism for writers＇ products＂ and are accustomed to reviewing and analyzing these compositions in terms of themes, genres, characters, plots, etc. The criticism featuring subjectivity and appreciation confuses, constitutes and veils the study in a serious sense,thus inducing the malpractice of reviewing foreign writers＇ works into a pattern of stereotype and vulgarization. In the case of it,the introduction to ＂translatology＂ is conducive to rectifying and halting the inclination. Only if equipped with the concept of the target texts, can one have the awareness of the source texts. However,when faced with the source texts,one can enable the study of foreign literature to become a real one.
