The Brightness of Master Hong Yi's Poems to Practice Buddhism

弘一法师是晚近中国文化史上颇引人注目的人物,除涉足音乐、美术等艺术领域之外,其于古典诗词创作亦有深厚造诣。本文以弘一法师存世的一百四十余首诗词作品为研究对象,挖掘、体悟其诗词创作中的宗教因子,进而发现"华严为境,四分律为行,导归净土为果"之佛法行持在法师诗词中时有灵光闪现。研究弘一法师诗词作品中反映的宗教思想,对于我们深入理解法师佛学思想、认识其诗词独特的创作理路都将发挥无可替代的积极作用。

Master Hong Yi is a noticeable person in the history of Chinese culture from late Qing dynasty to modern times. Besides music,fine arts and other realm of arts,he also had achieved a lot in creating classical poems. Targeted at over a hundred and forty existing poems of master Hong Yi,this paper explores and embodies the religious factors in his poems to find out Buddhist practices of ＂studying Hua-yen,practicing doctrines and becoming a Buddhist believer via initial pure land approach＂ in his poems. Studying the religious thoughts reflected in Master Hong Yi＇s poems will play an irreplaceable active role in deeply comprehending master＇s Buddhist thoughts and learning his unique creation approach of poems.
