田径运动是一类深受大众喜爱的体育运动形式,是各项体育运动的基础.长期以来,人们只关注田径运动在竞技和强身健体方面的价值,却忽略了其中蕴涵的体育文化价值.为了传承这种体育文化价值,从军事、娱乐、道德、学术和医学等方面对田径运动最初兴起时的文化价值进行了挖掘,进而又从生存挑战精神、公平竞争精神、全民参与精神等几方面阐述了当代田径运动中蕴含的体育文化价值,使田径运动在帮助人们健身的同时,更好地发挥其文化价值的作用.

Track and field is a kind of popular sports form, which is the basis of all kinds of sports. For a long time, people only focus on its value in athletics and physicalfitness, but neglect the implication of sports culture value. The cultural value of athletics which rose in the initial stage was explored from military, entertainment, morality, academia and medicine aspects to inherit and develop the value, and then it was illustrated from the spirits of survival challenge , fair competition and participation of the whole people in modern athletics to help people conduct their fitness and better play the role of its cultural value.
