手帕作为一件极普通的生活用品,在《红楼梦》中被赋予了丰富的内涵。帕是展现人物关系的重要道具和纽带,宝黛爱情在帕中得以升华;帕是情节发展的重要关钮和线索,不仅成功运用于前80回,在后40回中也得以延续和创造,使得小说的矛盾冲突达到顶峰;《红楼梦》中的女子几乎人人有帕,帕是这些女性人格化的象征,增强了人物形象塑造的细密度;宝玉作为"绛洞花主",也与这些儿女的帕发生联系。曹雪芹对手帕这一道具的成功使用,完美地表现了"帕"这一道具的艺术功能。
As one of the most common articles for daily use, the handkerchief is endowed with rich connotations in A Dream of Red Mansions. The handkerchief is an important prop and bond to show the relationship between characters, through which love between Baoyu and Daiyu is sublimated. The handkerchief is an important key and clue to the plot development, not only successfully applied in the former eighty chapters, but also in the latter forty chapters for continuation and creation, which helps the conflict of the novel reach its peak. Almost every woman in A Dream of Red Mansions owns a handkerchief, which serves as a symbol of her personality, enhancing the subtlety and density of character images. As "the flower master of red cave", Baoyu is also associated with handkerchiefs of these ladies. Cao Xueqinrs successful use of the handkerchief perfectly shows the artistic appealing of this prop.
