University Teachers' Academic Profession and Their Practice Path

摘要 在现代社会,大学教师是一个特殊的社会群体,他们从事着一种特殊职业即学术职业。学术职业不仅具有一般职业的共性,是学术职业者赖以生存的一种谋生手段,而且也具有超越狭隘功利性目的、将学术视为实现生命价值和意义的目标。一般来看,大学教师的学术职业是通过学术活动表现出来的,学术活动本质上就是学术职业的展开路径。概括而言,这一路径包括四个方面的内容,即教学活动、科学研究、学术交流、服务活动。 In the modern society, university teachers are a special social group who are engaged in a special profession, namely academic profession. Academic profession has not only a general career in common, a way for academic professionals to rely on making a living, but also a purpose regarding scholarship as realizing the life value and significance beyond a narrow utilitarian objective. In general, university teachers' academic profession is represented by academic activities, and the essence of academic activities is the path to the development of academic profession. In a word, this path includes such four aspects as teaching activity, scientific research, academic exchange and service activity.
