摘要
今天,MOOC的教学质量和卓越应用案例受到了越来越多的高等教育研究者的关注,一些国外的优秀研究值得我们参考和借鉴。本文将对圣荷西州立大学MOOC的成功应用案例的研究加以介绍,供国内研究者参考。案例中圣荷西州立大学利用MOOC课程为学生提供在线学习平台,该平台跟踪了学生的学习过程,记录了在线学习的登录日期和课程的进展,同时采用焦点小组讨论法了解了学生、教师、工作人员、协调人员对于MOOC的看法,并在此基础上采用列联表进行数据分析,以探究潜在的影响成绩的因素。最后研究者得出结论:学生越努力取得的成绩越好,学生特征与学习成绩间无统计意义上的显著相关性。这一案例是MOOC在混合式教学中应用的较为典型的实证研究案例,该研究结论对于MOOC设计开发者和使用者均具有较高的借鉴价值。
Today,MOOCs' quality of teaching and excellent application cases have attracted a great attention by more and more higher education researchers,some foreign outstanding researches deserve our study and is worthy of reference.This article presents successful case studies and an introduction of MOOCs' application of San Jose State University for domestic researchers.In the spring of 2013,this college uses MOOCs to provide students with online learning platform for more students to complete their studies.It has attracted more than 15000 students. Then it has tracked the students' learning process,recorded the login date of online learning with the course development.By using a focus group discussion to understand viewpoints of students,faculty,staffs and coordinate personnels to MOOCs.On this basis,using the data of contingency table analysis,it explores potential factors that affect performance results.Finally,researchers concluded that the harder students have worked,the better they have achieved.There was no significant correlation in statistics between students' characteristics and learning achievements.Case studies presented in this article are typical and empirical examples of MOOCs' practice in the blended teaching application.This study offers a conclusion of higher reference value to MOOC designers,developers and users.
