摘要
说到对"美"的复杂思绪梳理最深刻的人,约瑟夫·布罗茨基与苏珊·桑塔格可说是其中的翘楚。他们跨越不同的文化传统和语言背景在论"美"问题上的接触、相遇、碰撞、差异与契合,这一过程给我们提供了提出"布罗茨基与桑塔格"意义上的美的艺术哲学是否存在的逻辑前提,包含了对自然之美与艺术之美的思辨、新历史主义背景下对消费主义的应对、强烈经验的情感对"美"的等级制与美的理想的统一、美学与伦理的关系问题的重新思索四个方面。尤其有研究价值的是布罗茨基对桑塔格的美学探索航程的转舵作用,提出"美将拯救世界"的著名命题以及高于创造性写作的"美"的人道主义和世界主义运动的重要地位。
Mentioning profoundly carding complex thoughts about "beauty", Joseph Brodsky and Susan Sontag are two of the leaders undoubtedly.Crossing different cultural traditions and language contexts,they have experienced four stages such as contacting,meeting,collision and affinity centering on "beauty" .Their communicational process provides us opportunity and logic precondition to propose whether philosophy of art on beauty in the sense of dialogues between Brodsky and Sontag exist,which contains four aspects as debate on beauty of nature VS beauty of art, response to consumerism in the context of New Historicism,unity of graded system and ideal of beauty through strong emotion and reconsideration on the relationship between esthetics and ethics.What is worth our studying most is Brodsky' s role in guiding Sontag to turn and response to his famous statement "Beauty will save the world." as well as the important status of humanistic and international activities of "beauty" above creational writing.
