As a basic technical ability for resident doctors, doctor-patient communication has important content of the stand- ardized training of residents. It has become more significant for standardized training of residents to build a more perfect doctor-patient communication evaluation system. Medical interview skills, physical examination skills, professional attitude, clinical judgment, communication skills, organizational effectiveness and the overall clinical competence in mini clinical evaluation exercise could be used as evaluation measures of communication skill level of resident doctors. The theoretical values of mini clinical evaluation exercise should be actively explored on the basis of combination with clinical diagnosis and treatment activities to constantly improve the evaluation system of communication skills of residents.
