Social Involvement of Universities and Colleges:Basic Path and Relative Factors of Improving Students' Civic Consciousness

在探讨与梳理高校学生公民意识、高校社会参与的内涵与关系的基础之上,借鉴理查德·涅米的曝光与选择模型,分析高校学生公民意识的特点、探索社会参与对高校学生公民意识的影响机制。研究发现,高校社会参与的程度越高,高校学生的公民意识越好。此外,高校学生对政府的信赖程度以及对学校生活的卷入程度在这一过程中起着中介作用,高校社会参与通过高校学生良好的政府信赖及学校卷入程度对高校学生公民意识产生了影响。因此,促进高校社会参与,把握其对高校学生公民意识的影响机制是高校进行公民意识教育、提升学生公民意识的重要路径。

Based on the exploration of the connotation and relative relationships of social involvement of universities and colleges and students＂ civic consciousness, drawing lessons from Richard G. Niemi＇s exposure-selection model, the characteristics of students＂ civic consciousness have been analyzed, the influence mechanism of students＂ civic consciousness of universities and colleges has been studied. It is found that the higher the level of social involvement of universities and colleges is, the better the students＂ civic consciousness is. Furthermore, the reliance to the government and the involvement to school life are partial mediator between civic engagement of universities and colleges and students＂ civic consciousness, which have strengthened the impact on students＂ civic consciousness. Hence, improving the universities and colleges＂ social involvement and holding the influence mechanism of students＂ civic consciousness could be an important way to implement civic consciousness education and improve students＂ civic consciousness.
