The mausoleum of Yide Crown Prince has the largest underground chamber amongst the Tang period tombs discovered thus far. Especially, the double-walled layout of the mausoleum is unrivaled by other Tang period burials of nobles, yet similar to the configuration of walls found at other mausoleums of Tang emperors. Nonetheless, its other features and its scale are inferior to mausoleums of Tang emperors and mausoleums of those that were bestowed an emperor status after death such as the Gong Mausoleum and Hui Mausoleum. Hence considering the special designation of haomu weiling, or known as the posthumous status of designating a tomb as a 'ling' as presented here, the mausoleum of Yide Crown Prince should still be classified as a tomb belonging to the rank of the Crown Prince.
