在素质教育变革程度不断加深的背景下,单一的教学方式已经很难满足大学英语的教学要求。折中教学法是一种按照不同的教学环境选择不同教学方式的方法,其能够择优使用,有效避免单一教学方式存在的弊端。以折中教学法的定义为切入点,分析折中教学法的使用现状,归纳其在使用过程中的优势,并在此基础上制定折中教学法在大学公共英语教学中的使用策略。

The single teaching approach is hard to meet the needs of college English teaching with the quality education reform deepening. Eclectic teaching approach can avoid the disadvantages of the single teaching method effectively by selecting different teaching approaches according to different teaching environment. Starting from the definition of the eclectic teaching approach, the paper analyzes the current applications of eclectic teaching approach, generalizes its advantages of application, and then formulates accordingly the strategies of eclectic teaching approach in college English teaching.
