The optimum process operating conditions for SBR were found to be: MLSS 5 000~6 000 mg/L, \{F/M\}0.3-0.4 kgCOD\-\{Cr\}/(kgMLSS\5d). The degradation of organic substrate in the first stage of a two\|stage SBR was followed by zero order kinetics, while it followed first order kinetics in the second stage. Because two\|stage SBR overcame 'glucose effect', the biodegradation performame of organic substrate was increased.\;
