The paper proposed a possible developmental direction and a specific program for the reform on the assessment of telecommunication courses in local application-oriented universities on the basis of an analysis on the problems in the field, aiming to fix the gap between current ways of assessment and the goal of talent cultivation, which will be greatly beneficial to the cultivation of application-oriented talents.
