From the perspective of academic history, this paper gives a brief analysis of the academic significance and cultural value of the book Chinese Art History of One Hundred Years＇, and points out the special task and challenge with which the research and writing of modern and contemporary art history is confronted in the era of tremendous development of human cultural life. This book is, in this sense, a good summary of the Chinese art history in the past one hundred years, as well as a significant inspiration to relevant researches in the future.
