“海昏”语源考证

Etymology of “海昏(Haihun) ”:An Investigation

本文首先对"海昏"是"鄱阳湖西边"一说提出了质疑,并从语言学的角度论证了其说不可信,接着结合史实重新考证了"海昏"得名缘由,提出"海昏"是"太昏昧"的意思,体现了命名者汉宣帝对被封者"海昏侯"刘贺昏昧行为的蔑视态度。最后指出"海昏"作为侯名,早于"海昏"作为地名,即先有海昏侯,后有海昏县。

The statement that the area of Haihun is located in the west of the Poyang Lake is questioned and proved to be wrong in a linguistics perspective. Besides,the historical origin of ＂海昏（ Haihun） ＂is investigated.It is found that ＂海昏（ Haihun） ＂means fatuous,showing the scorn of the Xuan Emperor of the Han Dynasty to the Marquis of Haihun Liu He. Finally,it is found that the name of Haihun Marquis came earlier than that of Haihun County.
