In Don DeLillo's most recent novel Zero K, the author channels readers' attention to the issue of death in the postmodern society. The novel portraits the father-son relation as well as depicting the American society after the 9/11 period. This paper analyzes Zero K from the existentialism perspective, the paper argues that by depicting the family relations of Ross and Jeffrey, the choice of life and death as well as the terrorism against the postmodern backdrop, the novel investigates modern man's existence and anxiety and points a possible way out. And, in so doing, the novel actually calls for more humanitarian care and achieves the organic unity of artistic and societal values.
