Inspirations of William J. Donovan's Intelligence Thoughts

[目的/意义]研究"美国现代情报之父""中央情报局之父"威廉·J.多诺万的情报思想,以对我军情报工作有所启示。[方法/过程]采取文献研究法、历史研究法、分析法及归纳法,通过研读多诺万有关情报的备忘录、报告及信件等文献,并结合其从事过的情报活动,对其情报思想做深入研究。[结果/结论]多诺万情报思想对我军新时期情报工作的启示主要有:加强和平时期情报工作建设以及情报工作的协调性、专业情报分析队伍建设等。

[Purpose/significance]The paper is to study intelligence thoughts of William J. Donovan worshipped as ＂Father of the American Modern Intelligence＂ and ＂Father of Central Intelligence Agency＂, so as to inspire PLA＇s intelligence work.[Method/process]The paper adopts document research, historical approach, analytics and induction, to deeply study his intelligence thoughts by reading up Donovan＇s documents such as memorandums, reports and letters about intelligence in the context of his intelligence activities.[Result/conclusion]The inspirations of Donovan＇s intelligence thoughts to PLA＇s intelligence work in new period include enhancing peacetime intelligence work construction, as well as enhancing to construct intelligence activities＇ coordination and specialized intelligence workforce.
