The northern landscape park in Duisburg is a classic example of known as post industrial landscape park, the author Peter Latz influenced by ecology and post modern art view, against the landscape architecture according to the ideat pastoral past to describe the ideas of nature. He as much as possible to retain the original industrial heritage and industrial landscape structure, giving these old facilities and buildings with a new function, make these old industrial facilities themselves become the landscape structure elements of the park. This paper discusses the concepts of post industrial landscape, Peter Latz design philosophy and the philosophy in North Duisburg landscape park. The analysis of landscape structure, the park itself space allocation, ecological improvement, enabled me to the aesthetic characteristics of the Peter Latz industrial landscape, have a deeper understanding of the ecological idea. this is also the case for the ecological environment of today＇s industrial site restoration, construction of industrial landscape are provided a good reference.
