Characteristics on the Clinical Treatment of Pelvic Inflammation-Induced Infertility in Luo's Gynecology of Lingnan Medicine

On the basis of suiting measures due to time,location and people,Lingnan medicine has formed its specific school. Luo＇s gynecology of Lingnan medicine has a long history and been innovated in inheritance. In the treatment of gynecological diseases,it provides the approaches that are different from the traditional thinking and methods. Pelvic inflammation affects the structure and opening degree of fallopian tube,which leads to infertility. In TCM,the therapy for clearing heat and removing damp is commonly used for pelvic inflammation on the basis of geographic features and root cause of disease. It is believed in Luo＇s gynecology of Lingnan medicine that pelvic inflammation-induced infertility is differentiated as deficiency of the antipathogenic qi and excess of pathogenic factors. The deficiency of the antipathogenic qi refers commonly to kidney deficiency,qi deficiency and yin deficiency. The excess of pathogenic factors is commonly seen as interaction of damp,heat and stasis and interaction of damp and stasis. The treating principle is filling up deficiency and removing pathogens after menstruation,clearing away heat and nourishing yin,associated with tonification of antipathogenic qi; strengthening antipathogenic qi and regulating qi and blood before menstruation,benefiting spleen and kidney,associated with elimination of pathogens. The medicines from Lingnan region and of neural nature are used. The clinical therapeutic effects are significant.
