A Study on Some Measures the Government Response to the Uprising in Song Dynasty

在中国帝制王朝中,宋朝持续的时间最长,其最终灭亡也与民变没有多少关联。宋朝之所以相对特殊,与其应对民变相对成功密切相关。诸如民变信息及时上报、充分依靠民间力量、对特别地区实行特殊法令等措施都取得了不错的效果,使得宋朝基本上能将民变限制在政府可控的范围内。尤其是前两项措施,更是具有长远的历史影响和启发意义。

The Song Dynasty lasted for the longest time in the Chinese feudal dynasty, and its final demise was not much as- sociated with the peasant uprising. The Song Dynasty was relatively special, because it was relatively successful response to the uprising. These measures had achieved good results, such as uprising information timely reporting, fully relying on folk strength, and special laws for special areas. So, the Song Dynasty basically could control uprising in the controllable range. In particular, the first two measures even more had a long-term impact and profound enlightening significance.
