秦朝时,择吉文化传统已深入秦人思想,影响了秦人的生活。据秦简《日书》记载,缝制新衣或穿新衣都要选择黄道吉日。秦人做衣服所用的布料有麻布和丝绸,其中麻布还是货币的一种。麻布和丝绸都可以用铜钱从集市上购买,社会上已经有了服装加工的商户。秦时的服装价值不菲。政府对特定人群还发放衣服,分收费和免费两种情形。秦人的服装并非史学家所记载的全是黑色或者白色,而是五颜六色,色彩纷呈,没有大的等级差别。

Government distributed clothes, paid or free,to specific groups.Qin＇s clothing was not black or white, recording by historians.It＇s colorful and no hierarchy.
